The Girls Islamic Organisation (GIO) of Maharashtra  came to existence on 1995 under the patronage of Jamaat- e-Islami Hind, Maharashtra circle The Mission of GIO shall be to prepare the girl students and   young   women for the reconstruction of society in the Light of Divine Guidance Insha Allah.

BELIEF
            The  belief of the organization shall be,it mean & none has the right to be worshiped  but         
            Allah and Mohammad (PBUH) is Allah’s  Apostle.
  
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
  • To promote and cultivate the true knowledge and understanding of Islam among girl students and young women.
  •  To prepare girl students and young women for leading their individual and collective lives in accordance with the Qur’an and Sunnah.
  •  To mobilize girl students and young women for promoting  virtues (Maroof) and uprooting Evils(Munkar)as well as to abolish social flows and bad rituals.
  •  To pave the ways for their all round development and to make efforts that they should be benefited practically from gifted to them by Islam.
  •  To prepare them for building their families on the basis of Islamic way of life.
  • To promote moral values in educational system as well as a better moral atmosphere and an elevated culture in educational institutions .
  • To make arrangements for all round development of the individuals attached with the Organization, to nourish their talents and to make them useful for the Islamic Movement .
METHODOLOGY
  • The Qur’an and the Sunnah shall be the main guide and basis for the activities of the Organization.
  • In all its activities ,the Organization shall abide by the moral limits.
  • For the achievement of its aims, and objectives  the Organization  shall adopt peaceful and  constructive methods   and shall abstain the  acts which may result to communal hatred and class struggle or which can harm the values of peace and salvation. 
MEMBERSHIP
 
              Every girl student or young woman who is a citizen of Indian Union can become a member
          of  this Organization  provided that she :
  •  Pledge after understanding the constitution of the Organization by  the constitution and in accordance there with ,abide by its discipline.
  •  Is regular in saum-o -salah(fasting and prayer) and active in observing other faraiz (religious obligations )and Islamic sign and abstains from kabair(major sin).
  •  Is not more than 28 and less than 15 years  of ago. 
           In case of fulfilling the conditions, a girl student/young woman shall be deemed to be 
           a member of the Organization   when the  president of the Organization  accepts her  application
           for membership 

 ASSOCIATE
 
         Every girl student and young woman who is less than 28 of the age  can become an associate of
          the Organization, provided that she agrees  with the aims and objectives of the organization and 
          is  ready to co-operate it and to participate in its activities.
